REVEREND VIRGINIA KAGORO
PASTOR

Rev. Virginia Kagoro is the pastor of South Brookley United Methodist Church, Alabama. She was born and raised in Zimbabwe, Africa. She is an Elder and has a passion of reaching out to others sharing the Good News about Jesus Christ.
Prior to serving South Brookley UMC, Virginia served River City UMC, Montgomery, Alabama. She also served New Beginnings Charge, that is St. Luke UMC, Montgomery and Locust Bluff UMC in Prattville, Alabama. She adopted the model of evangelism by going beyond the walls into the community to share the Good News of Jesus. This approach empowered the laity, and a multicultural program was started. Before serving New Beginnings Charge, she served Locust Bluff. Virginia had an opportunity where she received a grant through Asbury University, which allowed her to buy a grinding mill to help orphans and community in Gokwe, Zimbabwe. She led a mission team to reach out to the people. She also served as a District Women’s Worker in Harare West District, Zimbabwe, Africa. Virginia led evangelism outreach programs targeting areas that had no United Methodist Church. A new church was started in Manhenga, Bindura in Zimbabwe.
Virginia is a graduate of Asbury University, Wilmore, Kentucky, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration. She also received a Master of Divinity from Gammon Seminary, Atlanta, Georgia. Virginia and her husband Geoffrey have been married since 1985. They have three adult children, Simbarashe, Kudakwashe and Nyasha.

TINA STALMACH
CHURCH PIANIST

Tina Stalmach has been the Church Pianist at South Brookley UMC since April 1991. She began her music instruction at the young age of 6 and continued through high school and college. As a student, Tina participated annually in piano recitals and the Mobile Music Teachers Association Sonata Contest under the tutelage of Ruth Chamberlain, Rita Wright and Joan Hauser. Tina also played regularly for VBS, children’s and youth choirs/ensembles, Sunday school classes and church services at Moffett Road Baptist Church. After graduating from high school, Tina was accepted at the University of South Alabama and was the recipient of the John H. Chester Music Scholarship. She continued her music studies under the direction of Dr. Edward Daniel (piano) and Dr. Val Early (organ). She finished with a BS in Human Resources Management with a minor concentration in Piano Performance. Prior to joining the staff at South Brookley UMC, Tina served as pianist/organist at Moffett Road Baptist Church, Riverside Baptist Church, Fulton Road Baptist Church, and Central Baptist Church. Tina has been married to Frank Stalmach for over 25 years. She enjoys reading, USA Jaguar and Alabama football, and spending time with her family.
