Music is a wonderful gift from God, and a powerful tool for worship

At South Brookley UMC we all do all we can to develop and encourage the use of music and the arts as a vehicle to worship and proclaim the glory of God. We live in a beautifully diverse neighborhood, and we try to have our music reflect that diversity by drawing of the rich traditions of hymnody, southern gospel, traditional gospel, and canciones en español — as well as contemporary & urban gospel (and even some hip-hop!) Our music director, Kim Feagin, leads our Adult Choir in rehearsals on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm, and they lead our worship in our traditional morning worship service, while our Soul Cafe praise team rehearses at 4:30pm before the contemporary Soul Cafe service on Sunday at 5:30pm. Throughout the year, we also utilize soloists and instrumentalist, as well as music from our children and youth and guest performers, like the BC Rain High School chorus.  If you enjoy singing or playing a musical instrument, there is room for you in our music ministry at South Brookley UMC!
